We’re here to answer all of your questions

food

All our food is handmade in our London kitchen by top dim sum chefs using carefully sourced, high quality ingredients.
Each individual bao or dumpling is a little labour of love, made just the way you would at home. We make everything in small batches and never rush the process- we take time proving our dough (for optimum cloud-like fluffiness!) and marinating our fillings before cooking and filling them because we believe you can taste the difference.
We strive to responsibly source our produce as much as possible- this means supporting sustainable practices and local independent British farmers as much as we can, and we are always looking to improve. 100% of our meat is free-range, and 100% of our seafood is responsibly farmed.
We never add any MSG or preservatives to our food.
Once our food is cooked we flash freeze them immediately using special blast freezers to naturally preserve and lock in all the flavour and nutrients.

Freezing is a natural and safe way of preserving food. If done properly using special equipment like we do, it locks in all the nutrition, flavour and taste and helps us combat food waste.

Our food will last up to 6 months in the freezer, giving you extra flexibility and reducing any unnecessary food waste.

Not currently. Our trays containing 6 savoury bao are recommended as a brunch-size serving for 2, but could feed one (very) hungry person or be enjoyed over a couple of days. Our trays containing 8 dumplings or 6 sweet bao are designed for sharing as a side or dessert respectively.

We recommend steaming our bao and dumplings from frozen. Our bao can also be microwaved for convenience if you are short on time. You can find full cooking instructions on our packaging.

We have a selection of vegetarian and vegan options. You can also find a full list of ingredients for each meal on the product pages.

No it's not, we are not a halal kitchen.

All our food is mild, so you can customise the spice your own taste with your own choice of condiment if desired.

We’d be more than happy to cater for larger orders by special arrangement. Please contact us at hello@bun-dles.com for details.

Yes of course! If you know someone who would love a special delivery of bao and dumplings, you can order on their behalf and we’d be happy to personalise your order with a message – just drop us a note at the check out!

delivery

Our delivery days are currently Wednesdays and Fridays every week - you can select this date at the check out. Please place your order at least 3 days before your chosen delivery date to allow us enough time to cook and pack your order (e.g. Wednesday orders should be placed by the end of Sunday that week).

If you would like delivery on a Wednesday or Friday in a future week, please select this at the check out.

We currently deliver across Mainland UK, covering England, Wales and Southern Scotland.

Our courier, dpd, will send you notification of a time slot on the morning of your chosen delivery day. You will be able to track your delivery and provide instructions of a safe place to deliver.
Please note that the default option for our deliveries is for boxes to be left by your front door. Our boxes are fully insulated, so they’ll keep your meals in good condition until you’re home, however will need to be received on the same day of delivery. We cannot accept responsibility for missed deliveries.
Please transfer your food into your freezer immediately upon receipt, until you're ready to heat and enjoy!

Delivery is free on orders above £40. Unfortunately, we can’t cover the delivery cost for orders that come to less than that.
Standard delivery is £4.99 for orders under £40. This is to help us subsidise the cost of sustainable insulated packaging and allow our food to be enjoyed across the UK!

You can order a minimum of 6 bao (1 tray) as a taster but, we do charge a delivery fee of £4.99 on orders of less than £40.

This is to help us subsidise the cost of sustainable insulated packaging.

Food Tray Packaging

Our trays, sleeves and film are all 100% curb-side recyclable.

Additionally our trays are made from 85% recycled material

Delivery Packaging

Our insulation boxes are 100% curb-side recyclable.

The denim liners are made from recyled material but are not yet recyclable themselves.

The dry ice which keeps the bao and dumplings beautifully frozen is made from recylced sources and sublimates to leave no residue and no bulky ice packs to deal with!

The barrier bag in which the dry ice is packaged is made from two types of material - an inner plastic liner which is not recyclable and an outer paper bag which is recyclable. Just separate the bag and the plastic inner (instructions are on the paper barrier bag).

We are passionate about recycling and are working on a fully recyclable delivery packaging solution which we hope to roll out soon.

We kindly ask for 48 hours’ notice.
